River Crossing Challenge is ideal for KS3 students. It lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours and can be run with groups of 120 pupils. Pupils work in teams of 6 and compete against each other to win the challenge.
River Crossing Challenge develops team working, problem solving and design skills. We introduce Beam, Column, Span and Load concepts. Students use maths in their designs and to budget for materials. Students compete to design the winning structure and vehicle. We ask for volunteer adults to help with judging.Add to shortlist
