We make an electromagnet and discover that a current flowing down a wire can act just like a magnet.
This Electromagnets workshop is a natural follow on from Massive Magnets workshop. It also works well as a stand alone workshop too.
We use our earlier learning and apply it – everyone makes their own electromagnet. With further learning we work out how to make improvements.
Every student takes home their electromagnet – together with lots of follow up suggestions for parents to do at home with their junior scientist.
