Why do children need to learn about Adaptation and Camouflage?
The National Curriculum Programme of Study Living Things and their Habitats specifies the following content:
Statutory – Identify that most living things live in habitats to which they are suited. Describe how different habitats provide for the basic needs of different kinds of animals and plants.
Non Statutory – Pupils should compare animals found in familiar habitats with animals found in less familiar habitats

We embark on a journey together, exploring lots of great visual examples. Our investigations cover how animals and people use camouflage to blend into their backgrounds.
Did you know that over time animals also develop physical characteristics and behaviours which are best suited to their habitat?
This workshop provides a stimulating and enjoyable way to investigate this key curriculum area, especially for years 1 and 2. The habitat that every child designs for their own butterfly makes a great classroom wall display too.
