Thank you for all of your support in organising our whole school science day at Birkbeck Primary school. It was fantastic, the children loved all the activities and the leaders were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their topics. The children haven't experienced a science company coming into the school before so it was really lovely to see their excitement and for them to learn in another environment. Year 6 were particularly fortunate as without your visit, they would not have had the opportunity to dissect a heart in primary school. I observed a few minutes of one of the Y6 sessions and the knowledge that they were being taught and then being able to explore was incredible, a lesson I am sure they will remember for the rest of their lives. It was great how the sessions were structured, with teacher-led models, guided pupil tasks and independent exploration. This ensured that the children had secured the science learning before learning through inquiry.    

The workshops were really well pitched and our presenter's knowledge and enthusiasm really shone through. We had a fantastic leader. Each session felt personal to the group and not at all like he was sticking to a manufactured script. His enthusiasm for the workshops really encouraged the children to get stuck in, enjoy themselves and learn some really great science!

Thank you to Laura for being an amazing Workshop host. Our children have gained an incredible insight into electricity. The head and our Science Lead came in to see the children, and every child in my class was able to articulate so many facts about electricity. Laura has a lovely, calm aura and her workshops were so engaging and informative. The confidence she has given the children is awe-inspiring. Thank you for making such a lovely experience possible.

Although via zoom, the children were engaged and thoroughly enjoyed the experiments that their teacher could do alongside the Workshop Leader. They enjoyed making their rockets and seeing the rockets blast off!
